Lesson from bad weather

As usual at the end of year, there will be a monsoon season in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. After several days being bathed with the shining sunshine, now the heavy rain and strong wind comes back. Since I woke up this morning, it was already heavy rain outside the hostel. No matter whatever happen, of course I cannot skip the workshop on statistical analysis which are held for the rest of this week. So, I managed to walk from hostel to the campus with my small umbrella.

During lunch hour, I decided to bought some goods from a supermarket nearby. It was still raining but not so heavy like in the early morning. However, after about half an hour shopping, when I went out from the supermarket, the heaven started crying heavily again. Of course, this kind of situation is very unpleasant for the pedestrian like me. I try to walk fast but still, I need to beware with several water holes plus car driver who drove like in the Fast Furious movie. Although I'm using umbrella, it just can cover my head & face. The heavy rain started to wet half of my jeans & t-shirt. While waiting to cross a road opposite with my campus suddenly there was a very strong wind & my umbrella flip up. Oh no!

After I succeed to cross the road, I decide to stop somewhere & wait until the wind subside. At this point, I start to realized what a bad weather taught me about life. As we wake up every morning, we don't know what awaits us for the rest of the day. A day might have either good or bad beginning & throughout the day, the situation is never promised to be constant. Just like the weather, we can predict but never can confirm about it. Sometimes when we stuck in a very bad situation, it is good to take 5. Have a rest. Some problem won't solve if we keep going against it. Wait until we can see an opportunity lie in front of us, then grab it. The strong wind won't stop if I keep on walking through it, plus I might just expose myself to the heavy rain. So, the best thing to do was to seek for shelter until the wind subside before continue walking back to campus. No matter either we like it or not, sometimes we don't have choice rather than accept whatever happen. However, don't lose hope. Try to survive till the end of our life.
